I am currently working on my bachelor's degree in molecular biology. Somehow, I've ended up as an intern, doing graduate-level research. I might be in over my head. |
this is honestly making me pee myself
HAHA, i cant believe i actually understood those xD
lol H2O2 is my fav..
i am consistently impressed by these.
Reblog for a friend who loves science and cats. You know who you are.
ERROR: The potassium/ oxygen date one is wrong. Those two elements would form an ionic bond (metal + non-metal = ionic), and that means you need to think about what charges of ions you are dealing with, knowing that the overall compound must have no charge. Potassium likes to form an ion with a charge of +1, while oxygen likes to form an ion with a charge of -2. This is due to the number of valence electrons each compound has, which would justify a rant of its own, so just trust me for now. With these charges, it takes 2 potassium ions to neutralize the charge on the oxygen, so their date did NOT simply go OK (which is also against convention, we write the ion with the positive charge first). Their date went K2O. Menage a trois, bitches. /endrant
The rest of these are pretty good, though! Science ‘n cats! <3
